Beyond. confluence

Imagine yourself standing in the middle of a croud at a concert. Or sitting in a big theatre. Probably, after some time, all people around you will breathe at the same pace. At least, when the performance is impressive it will be.

In other words, there will exist some sort of shared bodily experience. People will experience the same sensory experience and maybe even the same emotions, the same thoughts, or even more. Therefore, music is a beautiful way to co-exist. Or to confluence.

But this not only happens when we stand together in a large croud, watching the same things at the same moment. Some philosophers even argue that these experiences also come together in differnent moments in time. When you're listening to the same song as a friend of yours did yesterday, you also had a moment of shared experience. Your breathing patterns reconsiled, and your thoughts might did the same. Who knows.
